The cabin
Vuk built it in one summer.
The cabin is larch and spruce, raised in 2019 at the edge of the meadow where an orchard used to be. The glass gable faces west, so you watch the sunset from bed.
Inside, Milena has put everything the photos don't show: wool blankets, tea mugs, books about Golija and firewood stacked by the stove. We live in the old house across the meadow. Close enough to help, far enough not to disturb you.

Golija starts at the door.
Golija is a nature park and part of a UNESCO biosphere reserve: beech forests, peat lakes and meadows where everything blooms at once in summer. These are the places we send our guests, in order of how close they are.

We woke up to horses grazing outside the glass wall. Sauna in the evening, then the stars from the deck. The best weekend of the year.
The cabin is smaller than it looks in the photos, but everything is where it should be. Milena welcomed us with a warm pie. We'll be back in autumn.
We came with our dog and nobody minded. Vuk showed us the way to the lake and where the porcini grow.
We booked two nights and stayed four. Quiet, warm and spotless, and the sunset from the bed is worth every minute of the drive.
Knee-deep snow outside, twenty-two degrees inside. The stove burns all night, and the road was cleared right up to the gate.
Location
The road runs across the meadow.
The cabin is on the northern side of Golija, forty minutes from the town of Ivanjica. The tarmac goes as far as the hamlet; the last stretch is a farm track across the meadow.

The last 1.5 km is gravel. Any car manages it in summer. In winter we clear the road and let you know how it is before you set off.

If you can't find the answer here, just ask. We reply the same day, usually within minutes.
When are check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 15:00, check-out by 11:00. If you'd like to arrive earlier, you can add an early check-in from noon to your stay.
Can I bring my pet?
Yes. Dogs are welcome for €8 per stay. The meadow isn't fully fenced, so please keep your dog on a lead near the horses.
How many people can sleep in the cabin?
Up to four: a double bed in the room under the roof and a sofa bed in the living room. It's most comfortable for a couple or a family with two children. We have a baby cot.
What is the cabin like in winter?
Warm. The ground floor has underfloor heating and the wood stove heats the whole cabin in half an hour. Firewood is included and there's plenty for every evening.
Is there a shop nearby?
The nearest one is in the hamlet, ten minutes by car; the big ones are in Ivanjica. Let us know in advance and Milena will get the basics in before you arrive.
How do I pay the deposit?
Once we confirm the dates, you pay a 25% deposit by bank transfer. The rest is paid on arrival, in cash or by card.
What if I have to cancel?
Up to 14 days before arrival we refund the deposit in full. After that we're happy to move it to other dates within a year.
What should I bring?
Good shoes for the meadow and the woods, and swimwear for the sauna. We have bed linen, towels, a hairdryer, spices and coffee.
